Everybody knows men and women have slight differences in the shape of their knees.
The JOURNEY* knee was designed using advanced engineering technology to accommodate these differences.

Thin
Because the end of a woman's thighbone (femur) is smaller than a man's, the JOURNEY knee was designed to be thinner in the sizes appropriate for women.
Narrow
Even if a man and a woman were the same height, the shape of the woman's knee would be narrower than the man's. The JOURNEY knee achieves optimal side-to-side fit for women.
Natural
The difference in the width of male and female hips impacts the angle at which your knee joint comes together. In order for your muscles to extend and flex your leg in a natural, pain-free motion during physical activity, your implant must accommodate this angle. The JOURNEY knee does.
The Other Half
Most female knees on the market address the gender-specific design of only the thighbone side of your knee joint. Because they ignore the fact that your left and right shinbones (tibias) are shaped differently from each other (like your left and right feet), a full 20% of cut bone on your tibia could be exposed. The JOURNEY knee addresses this design issue by using anatomically accurate left and right shinbone implants for a more true fit for women. |
